Kombat Akademy Policies

Standards

At Kombat Akademy, our mission is to  provide a safe, respectful, and positive training environment where  students can grow in skill, confidence, and character. Every student and  family is expected to contribute to maintaining the culture at Kombat  Akademy.

Attendance

  •  Students are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes before class begins.
  • Students  arriving significantly late may not be permitted to participate if they  have missed the class warm-up or safety instruction.
  • Students should remain attentive throughout class and follow instructor directions at all times.

Uniform & Equipment

  • Students must wear the appropriate Kombat Akademy uniform or approved training attire for their class.
  • Required protective equipment must be worn during designated sparring classes.
  • Jewelry should be removed before training whenever possible

Health & Hygiene

For the safety of everyone training:

  • Uniforms and training attire should be clean before each class.
  • Fingernails and toenails must be kept trimmed.
  • Shoes are not permitted on the training mats.
  • Students with contagious illnesses, skin infections, or open wounds should not attend class until medically cleared.

Training Conduct

 Students are expected to:

  • Treat instructors, staff, teammates, and visitors with respect.
  • Follow all instructor directions promptly.
  • Display good sportsmanship during training.
  • Train with control and prioritize the safety of training partners.
  • Respect all taps, verbal submissions, and instructor commands immediately.

The following behaviors are not permitted:

  • Bullying, intimidation, or harassment.
  • Excessive or uncontrolled aggression.
  • Intentional attempts to injure another student.
  • Profanity, abusive language, or disrespectful conduct.
  • Horseplay or unsafe behavior before, during, or after class.

Parent Expectations

Parents are an important part of our Kombat Akademy community.

We ask that parents:

  • Allow instructors to coach and correct students during class.
  • Avoid coaching from the sidelines or interrupting instruction.
  • Treat all students, parents, instructors, and staff at Kombat Akademy respectfully.
  • Address concerns privately with Kombat Akademy staff rather than confronting other students or families.

Progressive Discipline Policy

Our  goal is always to correct behavior through coaching and communication  whenever appropriate. Depending on the severity or frequency of the  behavior, disciplinary action may include:

  1. Verbal correction or warning.
  2. Temporary removal from an activity or the remainder of class.
  3. Meeting with the student and/or parent or guardian.
  4. Behavioral probation or suspension from training.
  5. Membership termination.

While  we strive to work with every student, repeated or serious violations of  Kombat Akademy policies may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership at the sole discretion of Kombat Akademy.

Membership Termination

Kombat  Akademy reserves the right to suspend or terminate any student’s  membership when continued participation is determined to be detrimental  to the safety, learning environment, or overall culture of Kombat  Akademy.

Reasons for suspension or termination may include, but are not limited to:

  • Repeated aggressive or unsafe behavior.
  • Bullying, intimidation, or harassment.
  • Physical or verbal threats toward students, parents, instructors, or staff.
  • Repeated failure to follow instructor directions.
  • Disrespectful, abusive, or disruptive conduct.
  • Creating conflict or a hostile environment within Kombat Akademy.
  • Intentional disregard for Kombat Akademy safety policies.
  • Repeated violations of Kombat Akademy rules after prior coaching or disciplinary action.
  • Conduct  by a parent or guardian that disrupts the learning environment, creates  conflict with other families, or interferes with the instructors’  ability to safely manage classes.

Membership  termination is intended to protect the safety and positive culture of  Kombat Akademy and will only be exercised when Kombat Akademy determines  that continued participation is no longer in the best interest of the  student body or staff.

By  training at Kombat Akademy, students and parents acknowledge and agree  to abide by these policies and understand that maintaining a safe,  respectful, and supportive training environment is a shared  responsibility.
